I've wanted to play around with these programs but couldn't justify the cost of the ALDL cable, often near $50. Software to communicate with the ALDL is available for free at RhinoPower,, and possibly with some work at TunerPro. Pre-1996, OBD1 cars have an Assembly Line Diagnostics Link (ALDL) under the steering column.
